Major Tamiya CC01 mods....
As I go along testing and playing with my CC01 I find many limitations that Tamiya could have done MUCH better with. Here are somethings I have done to make it better. All the pre made parts are from +AsiaTees Hobbies and the inks to the part will be listed if you are interested.
Cut off the front part of the chassis that would always hit obstacles and keep the truck from climbing.
You can see here that it is no longer a problem but I will be making a skid plate for it.
Because I cut off most of the support for the front body mount I had to solidify it with a home made aluminum plate that also attaches to the chassis. The Arm mount plate, arms, and shocks are GPM
the rear suspension links with home made link shock mounts on 90 mm shocks. the stock tamiya shocks are 70mm. The extra length and positioning of the 90mm shocks make for much more rear suspension travel. However you must do some modifying to get this to work properly.
the link shock mounts can be purchased on ebay. Just look up crawler
shock mounts or something like that I am sure you will find some..
NOW here is the oddball mod for this truck. While the 90mm shocks provide more travel, their positioning also makes them weak when compressed and you want them to be soft because the truck needs to sit at about halfway through those shocks in its normal stance. SOOOOOOO, I used a stock tamiya shock in the center to hold up the truck in its normal hight.
This is fully extended shocks
Much more flex than a stock CC01
Top view of the front body mount mod
This is how the center shocks works. Its only active when the truck is at its normal driving hight
This is with the rear suspension lifted.
this is at the normal driving hight.
Made a little battery retainer extension in order to insert my lipo batteries.
Installed an extension in order to be able to place the servo steering link on top because on the bottom it would hit the servo saver and prevent more steering in one direction.
Bottom view of the rear suspension setup. Notice I cleared out part of the chassis.
Not only for the center shock but because the upper links over the diff were hitting it.
Made a custom steering bracket to bring the steering links inline with the steering knuckles
The stock system has the steering links sitting way to far back thus reducing the possible steering capabilities of the truck.

Video updates
Hello everyone,
I have been busy making a few more videos for your enjoyment and information.
The Range Rover body is hot as hell.... You definitely need to have a look at this.
A quick Teaser for an upcoming video....
I finally got some new drive shafts and fix the front arm on the Buggy (Viper) Champ and then took it for a spin in the snow....
Another RC I had not touched in a while is my 1/16 to 1/8 conversion from a Mini Summit.
I installed the Aluminum shocks that I have had for about a year but never got around to getting them on. I also made some battery retainers that this truck needed badly. They were made from the base of an old Computer screen. Then I installed a GoPro on the back of the truck for some cool videos... have a look.
Many of these projects were made possible by +AsiaTees Hobbies .
Than you for your support.

Your Gonna wanna see this.....
Check this out....
What is it? Why its the Custom USA-1 I have been working on.
No its not done yet... :( This was a mock up to see what it would look like with the Range Rover Body and I REALLY LIKE IT.... Do you?
A few Highlights
Super Heavy Duty Ball Ends used to hold the Steering Knuckle (Still waiting for delivery of these)
2 x 3930KV Brushless Motors by Leopard from +AsiaTees Hobbies That I will be running from a Single 120 amp ESC. I am told this is possible but have yet to try it. Essentially the Leopard ESC and Motors are the same as Hobbywing products. Just a different name. I even used the Hobbywing updating software and programming card to make adjustments.

These are the most amazing suspension arms EVER made for a vintage RC. Kyosho has never seen the likes of these and possibly never will. If there is interest in them we could possibly produce them.
However they have to be paired with TopCad's SCX10 universal shafts and Cen Ball Links...
If you want to see more detail please fee free to watch this video...
Have a look at this USA-1 +RCSparks Studio™ / djmedic2008
Don't forget about our facebook page Giveaway!! Join us on Facebook and you might just win this restored ARTR Sonic Fighter with some +AsiaTees Hobbies goodies. All you have to do is join and like the official Giveaway Post... but it would be nice if you chatted with us too...

Newest videos....
Hey peeps,
What going on with y'all? Have you checked out http://AsiaTees.com yet?
I uploaded a few more video updates and started a new adventure series. This series is about some peeps who like to go through the trails with their trucks. I know its been done before but like this. In the beginning it will be about the builds and tuning them so they looks and feel like real trucks and once thats done then we will get into the trailing parts. So join us on this little adventure and maybe learn a thing or 2. Heck maybe you can teach us a little something.
This is part 1
