Press Fit Pinions - How to - best removal and install method

I love old RC's and toys and also love repairing or upgrading them to better electronics and so on. This sometimes calls for new motors and as such, removal of a pinion gear from the stock motor and installing it on a the new one. Now if you have a plastic Pinion gear its relatively easy as all you need to do is pry it off and push it onto the new motor. However, for Brass or steel pinions its a bit more involved since you cannot just pry them off. Doing so would most likely ruin the motor or the gear itself and if you do get it off there is a really good chance you will destroy the new motor by trying to pound it into place.
This method is practically effortless but requires some tools and maybe some adult supervision if need be.
Tools: Propane Torch, Vice, Pliers, freezer(optional), well ventilated work area.
Time: 10-15 minutes (1 hour in if pre-freezing the parts)
